• Observe and monitor children’s play activities.
• Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, medications administered and sleeping time.
• Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits
• Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games.
• Serve meals and refreshments to children and regulate rest periods.
• Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas.
• Dress children and change diaper.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Discipline children and recommend or initiate other measures to control behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books.
• Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring them to parents' or guardians' attention.
• Ensure children are supervised at all times

Skills and Attributes:

• Child Care workers need:
• Be willing to accept responsibility for the safety and well being of the children in their care
• Work as part of a team
• Good communication skills and the ability to relate well to children. Punjabi and any other language other than English and Urdu are completely prohibited in the day care premises.
• Patience, and a keen eye for any potential behavioural concerns
• Good level of physical fitness to be able to lift children and child care equipment.
• Qualification and Experience:
• Must have prior experience of working at a daycare center or of handling the infants and toddlers.
